The goal of this event is to ensure all wildfire responders are appropriately acknowledged for their heroic efforts. The Okanagan Wildfire Responders Gratitude Event (OWRGE) will be an upbeat, family-oriented community event highlighting the efforts of all firefighters, first responders and support workers. This event is free and will include activities for the whole family as well as a barbeque and a formal gratitude ceremony.

All proceeds from the event will go to the West Kelowna Professional Firefighters Charitable Society. This charitable society raises funds to assist organizations in our community including The Community Recreational Initiative Society, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada and the BC Firefighters Burn Fund.
